KS3 English
Over the course of KS3, students will have the opportunity to study a wide variety of texts from different eras and genres. They will read both full texts and shorter extracts, learning how to write about them confidently. They will also practise writing both imaginative and functional texts.
KS4 English Language
Students follow the AQA English Language course, which is assessed via two examinations at the end of the course. Each exam is 1 hour and 45 minutes long, and assesses students’ Reading and Writing skills.
During the two-year course, students will study a wide range of texts, learning how we communicate ideas and information effectively through different writing styles, many of which they are likely to encounter in the workplace.
