Dear Parents and Carers,
We are committed to improving services for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Many areas are facing significant financial pressures in providing special educational needs and disability services. The Delivering Better Value in SEND programme will provide support to help us understand and manage budget pressures, while improving delivery of SEND services in a sustainable way.
Wirral Council is one of 55 local authorities taking part in the Department for Education’s ‘Delivering Better Value (DBV) in SEND programme'. For more information on the DBV in SEND programme, please use the following link:

The aim of this programme is to improve ways of working to provide better outcomes for children and young people in Wirral with Special Education Needs and Disabilities and improve financial performance.
